"I remember when we were first looking at the dementia places. We were given the tour [at Sydney Creek], and we came out of here going, 'She's not ready for this yet.' Then we went to visit her and said, 'Yes she is, and it's time. We need to move her here because we can't take care of her 24-7 and they can.'"
My aunt Ruby has been here for five years at Sydney Creek, and we're delighted with the care that she's getting here. We are so happy with the care from the staff members. All of them. It doesn't matter if it's the person coming to vacuum. They all know all of the residents' names. These people are angels as far as I'm concerned working with this disease and the people who have it. They're just all very special and Ruby's getting absolutely excellent care.
